Members
Our Lifetime Memberships cost CAD $10 per person.
Qualifying members are eligible to vote and participate in our Society’s activities and events. They can also be elected to our Board of Directors.
To become a member, simply fill out the application form in the Become a Member tab below, including payment.
Members must agree to uphold the Constitution and the Bylaws of the Society
Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our Society.
They are needed for all kinds of roles.
If you want to volunteer, you can add your name to our Volunteer List and our Volunteer coordinator will reach out to you to find out how and when you are able to assist (this could be event-specific or year-round help with running our programs or other administrative task).
To become a volunteer, fill out the form below in the – there is no fee to become a volunteer.
Sponsors
As a non-profit organization, we rely on the contributions and donations from our membership and various sponsors.
Our sponsors allow us to keep our programs and events running. They provide much-needed funding for our operations and initiatives that could not be possible without their help.
Sponsor donations come in various forms including cash, time, and materials. If you would like to make a cash donation, fill our the Donation Form below in the Become a Sponsor tab
To become a member, click below to Apply and complete the application in the Pop Up window, including payment.
Make sure you use a valid email address as we will send you there the confirmation details, proof of payment, and a Welcome email.
The email contains a brief description of our Society, the current Bylaws, a listing of our current Board of Directors and the dates of the events planned so far.
Applicants who are 18+ years old will become voting members. This means you will have the right to cast a vote during any of our General Meetings.
Applicants younger than 18 will become non-voting members. You will not be able to cast a vote during our General Meetings but you will enjoy of all other membership benefits.
Once a non-voting member reaches the age of 18, he/she automatically becomes a voting member.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the society.
We cannot help our community and Venezuela without the help we receive from you.
Volunteering is a very rewarding experience and also a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, a valuable skill in the Canadian job market.

Nominations for the 2024 Board of Directors
This is a call for nominations for the Board of Directors of VCSBC being held during our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 27th, 2024 at 10:00am
A link to the online (virtual) meeting will be posted on our social media accounts in the days prior to the event.
The Venezuelan Canadian Society of BC was established as an organization to provide community support and to facilitate cultural exchange, immigrant integration, and promotion of the Venezuelan identity and culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organization that hosts and attends a variety of community programs and events throughout the year to achieve this vision.
You can form part of this exciting team and make a difference in your community!

- Must be 18+ years old
- Must be a member of VCSBC in good standing
- Be a resident of BC
- Must be present at the AGM to accept the nomination
